Chihara Minori (born November 18, in Utsunomiya, Tochigi) is a popular Japanese voice actress under the Avex Planning & Development agency. She made her voice-acting debut in 2004 with the role of Natsume Aya in Tenjou Tenge and has since put in memorable performances in popular anime such as Nagato Yuki in Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, Minami Chiaki in the Minami-ke series, Shirakawa Nanaka in D.C.II ~Da Capo~ and Tsuchimiya Kagura in Ga-Rei-Zero-.
Referred to affectionately by fans as Minorin, she has also been actively singing since 2004 and after re-launching on Lantis in 2006 she has released 6 singles, 2 albums, 4 DVDs and 1 Bluray as well as numerous anime theme song albums and drama CDs. She is also active on the live circuit, embarking on national tours in support of her two albums as well as performing overseas, first as part of the SOS-dan with the rest of the Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu cast at the US’s Anime Expo in 2007 adding to solo lives in Taiwan in December 2008 and in Malaysia’s DaiCon in July 2009.
Within the space of 5 years, Minorin has planted herself firmly within the top five most popular active seiyuu (in terms of CD sales) and has her best years ahead of her.
